Designer vaginas are the latest trend among female teenagers, experts revealed but what they were more concerned about were the harmful effects that the surgery can do to the women.

Moreover, experts have warned that the number of females applying for the procedure is increasing every day. Technologies and their purposes are being altered as per need but it is not correct and similar is the stand of researchers while discussing about the new ongoing trend of designer vaginas too.

They explained that the vaginal rejuvenation procedure had been used to correct the sagging vaginal canals among the affected women or to help ease things for women, who used to suffer from incontinence but today women have started taking this procedure for cosmetic purposes like labia reduction.

Doctors are continuously warning teenagers to avoid the procedure as they fear that it is affecting their genitals. They explained that what the teenagers are growing up today learning is only a skewed idea of what a normal vagina looks like. Critics are blaming the pornography industry and the media for such influences upon the teenagers.

"I heard of a mother taking in a 16-year-old and 11-year-old wanting to get it done. It's just not right", US gynaecologist Dr. Iglesia, was reported as noting in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
