Which one is healthier: Eating Healthy Food or Luxury Packaged Food? After studying those 'luxury' ready meals available in the markets, scientists have warned that these food items contain higher amounts of fats and salt as compared to their natural and affordable versions and, therefore, these have been proved to be 'damaging' for every individual.

These high-end meals are easy to cook and come with attractive images, but the truth is these consist of 'shocking' levels of saturated fat.

During the study, it has been found that a single serving of this packaged food consist the amount of fat and calories that are recommended for an adult's entire daily intake. So now you can imagine that to what extent these food items can bring you harmful results.

To carry out the study, researchers from Glasgow University analyzed a wide range of ready meals, available for sale in five of Britain's largest supermarkets. These included Sainsbury's 'taste the difference' beef lasagna. This delicacy had two times more fat and salt as compared to its budget counterparts.

As told by Mike Lean, chairman of human nutrition at Glasgow University, to the Sunday Times, “Labelling food as "extra special" or "finest" can be misleading for consumers who might expect health benefits at a higher price point”.
