PBT2 A Promising Therapy for Treating Alzheimer’s

An effective therapy for treating Alzheimer’s disease was introduced few times back, which has now been backed by several renowned scientists and researchers also.

PBT2 has been developed by Prana Biotechnology (ASX: PBT, NASDAQ: PRAN) and during a recent Celebration of Science Conference in Washington D. C., Professor Jeffrey Cummings, Director of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, and chairman of Prana’s Scientific Advisory Board dubbed this therapy as a promising and rising one.

As said by Dr Rudy Tanzi, Joseph P and Rose F Kennedy Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School, and Prana’s Chief Scientific Advisor also, this therapy will surely prove to be a winning one.

Featuring a distinctive and specialized ability of averting the lethal relationship between disease proteins and the metals, zinc and copper in the brain, this therapeutic action will make sure that people suffering from this neurodegenerative disease get treated the best way.

The drug was put on trial for a period of 12 weeks and as a result, it not only lowered the levels of beta-amyloid in spinal fluid but also augmented the cognition of patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

The study has proved this therapy PBT2 the best for stopping and in fact overturning the neurodegenerative process of Alzheimer's disease.
