A project worth 15.1 million dollar has been postponed, following the discovery of a rare to find spider, known as Braken Bat Cave Meshweaver, which was identified near Highway 151 and Wiseman Road construction site.

It has been reported that the project will not commence until U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Federal Highway Administration, do not plan out measures, which can be deployed to carry on with the work of the project without disturbing the habitat of the spider.

The Texas Department of Transportation acknowledging the several cracks in the construction site, called upon the biologists, suspecting the cracks would habitat to variety of organisms.

Texas Department of Transportation spokesperson Josh Donat said, “The project became subject to Endangered Species Act once the rare spider was discovered. This is the second individual spider that's ever found, not like we found 1 of 5,000 individuals in a species”.

Further, Donat asserted that this has been for the second, after 1980, such a species has been seen. In 1980 even, the species was identified near to this place.

However, residents living in North San Antonio Hills neighborhood affirmed that is the project is not completed soon, they will have to face major traffic problems.
