As per reports, it has been revealed that the University at Buffalo, Columbia University and the Hospital for Special Surgery, have been chosen for grants, which will be given to them by NFL Charities. The grant has been given in order to encourage the two universities and the hospital to do know more about concussions as well as about sport injuries.

NFL Charities is a non-profit organization, which has been developed by the efforts of National Football League’s 32 teams. While talking about the funds, the NFL Charities was of the view that they have allocated approximately $1 million.

The division of funding has already been done, as $100,000 from the total amount will be given to the University at Buffalo. The university in return will conduct a research on concussions and will also try to find out scientific ways by which an athlete can continue with his sports career.

“Our share of the funding, $100,000 over the next year and a half, will allow us to ascertain the validity of this very promising approach”, said Candace Floyd, who will be taking part in the research from the side of the side of the university. Floyd further affirmed that they will try hard to find new and promising approach.
