Drones to Be Used For Capturing the Images of Mountain Climbers

The army of the US once used the drones for spying over the activities of Pakistan. However, now, the same gadget is being used to capture the scene and pictures of mountains of all over the world. The pictures of highest peaks and mountains are being captured by the gadget.

The drone is being used to capture the images of climbers busy in climbing the Karakoram Mountain, this summer. Firms Mammut and Dedicam joined hands to capture the images of the climbers.

It has been informed that the Karakoram Mountain is about 6,000 meters above the sea levels. Besides, climbing the mountain is very difficult. It is believed that the use of drones will help in saving money spent over helicopters. Moreover, drones don't carry the fear of crashing as well.

Drones weigh few kilograms and costs from $1,000 to $40,000. Besides, the size of drones is small as compared to the large helicopters that are even difficult to handle. Drone operator Remo Masima said, "The main challenge was that the air is much thinner, and we didn't know how the flight controls would work with this and the propellers and motors". It is hoped that the drones will help in capturing good and safe images of the climbers.
