Researchers of NASA have meticulously joined the various photographs issued by NASA Dawn spacecraft of asteroid Vesta. By rearranging the images, researchers were able to unveil one more mystery behind our solar system.

The spacecraft Dawn was launched in sky in 2007. It was the part of first mission aimed at entering the orbit around the celestial bodies. A similar mission was also launched in 2011and was ended in 2012. The images sent by the spacecraft shows the orbiter in the resolution of 500 meters per pixel.

The images provided by the Dawn pushed the researchers to say that the Vesta could have evolved into a planet if its growth had not been hindered by the phases of solar system. Researchers studying Vesta have found the presence of hydroxyl in some of the regions of the Vesta.

The presence of Oppia crater has been hinted by the discovery of hydroxyl concentration in the regions of Vesta. The researchers have further informed that the hydroxyl concentration is stable of the Vesta. Debra Buczkowski from Johns Hopkins University said, “By saying it's differentiated, we're basically saying Vesta was a little planet trying to happen”.
