An autumn breast cancer campaign has been begun by Kroger in the US, a recent report has uncovered, and the same is to go till the end of October.

It is being said that on behalf of a special person, a number of customers of Kroger can help fight the disease. Volunteers can make donations at the Chesterfield Township location as well as can give $1 for a pink ribbon.

The ribbons are available with all Kroger registers and the aim is only to aid the American Cancer Society. Some amount would also go the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, which is based in Detroit. The report finds that it is a part of the total 41 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the nation.

It has been told that customers can further help in raising money for breast cancer awareness by making a coin box donation. The reason behind the plan of raising awareness is that almost each family has been currently touched by the cancer. The money is partly to be invested for research into the deadly disease.

“We hope customers will join Kroger associates as we continue to move forward together in the battle against breast cancer”, said President Rick Going.
