Climate change is taking toll on world’s land ice, as sea levels are rising due to the melting of the same. The Environmental Protection Agency said that gradual melting has led to a 2 inches rise in seal levels in the last century.

It is a matter of concern, said NASA officials, as they informed that Antarctica has been losing its ice at a quite fast pace. If things are not put under control then it is being predicted that there will be a rise of 20 inches by 2100.

“This is based on weather stations, satellite data, climate models, and even the pattern of temperature left in the upper layers of the ice”, said experts while revealing the base of their predictions on Antarctica.

Experts were of the view that the rise in sea levels is a concern for entire world, but it would also not be wrong to say that the major threat is being faced by island countries. Micheal Mann, a known climate scientist was of the view that there are probable chances that these countries might need to shift to other places, as they face the threat of submerge. Experts need to take the matter seriously and do something about the same.
