The Alzheimer's Association has been asking people to come forth and help them in raising funds for Alzheimer's patients. In order to do so, the association has been organizing an event known as Harford County Walk to End Alzheimer's.

The event will be organized on Oct. 6, which is on Saturday at the Bel Air Equestrian Center in the Harford County. The vent will raise awareness about the disease as well as urge people to raise funds, so that more people suffering from the disease can be benefitted.

Official reports reveal that it is the sixth leading cause in the country. The revelation has made it even more important to take steps, which can bring a decline in the percentage with which people are being affected with the same.

The association has been urging people to contribute their part, and registrations for the same will start at 9 am. A number of activities are going to take place at the event and some of the many things are refreshments for everyone and games for children.

"Funds raised from the walks will directly provide care and support services to the 86,000 residents of Maryland living with Alzheimer's, while also contributing to advancing critically-needed research”, said Cass Naugle, who is the executive director of the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Maryland Chapter.
