CME Explosions Expected on Earth

A huge explosion took place last week on the sun and the effect of the same was witnessed by the Earth last night. It has been revealed that wave of solar particles moved towards the Earth, which led to a show of lights last night.

Experts have informed that the incident can repeat. While discussing the reason for the same, experts were of the view that CME (coronal mass ejections) is heading towards Earth, and when it will come in contact with Earth’s magnetic field then it will lead to a blow.

CME are said to be known for powerful explosions that takes place on the sun. The explosion is so strong that when it aims at Erath for its event then it proves quite destructive for electronic systems that are in satellites.

While predicting the possible dates when the incident can take place, experts affirmed that dazzling can happen on Oct. 8 and 9. The activity is expected to take place in northern areas, further affirmed experts.

Experts asked sky watchers to remain alert for auroras. NASA officials said, "Not to be confused with a solar flare, which is a burst of light and radiation, CMEs are a phenomenon that can send solar particles into space”.
