Doylestown Residents against Mosquito Spraying

Doylestown Residents against Mosquito Spraying

West Nile Virus is a serious and this time has been a major issue with large outbreaks in some regions, including Doylestown Borough. Therefore, everyone is concerned and plans are being made for next summer rolls, as per a recent report.

Monday night it was clear that not one, but everyone in the county seeks a spray of a pesticide, which could kill mosquitoes and end the deadly outbreak, only if no other option is there. The reason behind the same is most likely the harms spraying can offer.

The county's West Nile control program’s director is also of the same opinion. A massive number of resident do believe that the pesticide may prove harmful. A resident named Kelcey Meadows Lucas doubts about the pesticide’s toxicity.

“I want to speak up for the others like me. I am skeptical that we really can prove that the spray really is safe for bats, amphibians, our beneficial creatures", said another resident Vonna DeArmond, living across from Chapman Park.

It is therefore that the volunteer council was even asked if the benefits of the spray outdo the risks imposed by the same on animal health or humans or the entire environment. Now, a meeting on Nov. 20 would discuss what changes should be brought before the mosquito season next year.
