Yahoo to Leave South Korea

Yahoo to Leave South Korea

It seems that Yahoo Inc is not able to handle complications going on with Google Inc and other available local competitors. This might be the reason that it has decided to leave South Korea.

Company officials were of the view that it is the first Asian country, from which they are ending operations. At one time, Yahoo was considered to be a neck to neck competitor of Google, but will passage of time; it got overshadowed by Facebook Inc and Google and NHN Corp.

"Yahoo has faced several challenges in the past couple of years and decided to pull out of the (Korean) business to put more resources on global business", said Yahoo. Next maim will be to strengthen its ties at global level and to achieve a powerful position.

While revealing some useful information about Yahoo then it has been found that it started its business in South Korea in 1997, but is completely owned by the U. S based company. It was doing well, but in recent years, it decided to quit the place. So, it has been decided that it will not provide Korean online services from December. It is now expected that it comes back with same zeal and power.
