Photographer Jailed for Concealing HIV Status from Partner

A photographer, who has passed HIV infection to his lover, is facing jail term. Prosecutors were of the view that Leslie Pringle has callous attitude towards sex and he did not inform his partner about his HIV condition before making sexual relations with her.

Newcastle Crown Court said that a lot many times, Pringle has been warned about the ways by which he can avoid passing disease to others. Moreover, he has also been advised to use condoms at the time of having sex.

Not only this, he was also made understood about the need of telling his partner about his sexual condition. It was not only his moral obligation, but he was also legally bound for doing so. But then also it was found that he did not pay heed to any of the instructions, and had sex with his partner without informing her.

The prosecutors were of the view that he had sex without using protective measures. This is totally unacceptable, and that is the reason that he has termed with jail term. Judge Paul Sloan QC has said that next hearing in the case will take place in next month. 'It is almost inevitable an immediate, substantial custodial sentence will be imposed in the circumstances of this case", asserted Paul.
