Obama Drove A Chevrolet Volt For The First Time

"That was my big joy ride. Three times around the South Lawn driveway", said US President Obama, while confirming that he managed to drove a Chevrolet Volt on the grounds of the White House.

It was further told that his friend visited him there and offered him to try it once and Obama, just out of curiosity, drove it for the first time. Though he had got pictures clicked with car at events etc, this was for the first time he managed to get behind the wheel. It was during an interview on NBC's Tonight Show that he shared this secret of his. "It was wild", he added further, thereby asserting his excitement to drive the car for the first time, no matter the car has been in talks for not so good reasons.

Though the car has been in news, after the government bailed out the makers, General motors, it has not been well received by critics in the industry.

Nonetheless, the Secret Service managed to get the gates closed so as to make sure that the president doesn't go out on the streets of Washington. It so ironic that no matter, he leads US, he truly misses simple joys of life at times.
