Well even before the launch of Wikipad, it has disappointed all. The $499 Android tablet was expected to make its place in the market, but assumptions were simply wrong.

The tab with separable gaming controls was to be released today with it going on sale at GameStop. However, the company has declared that they are not launching the tab today and they have made no comments regarding when it will be launched.

In a statement, Wikipad, has asserted that it had to postpone the release of the device as it was not yet ready to be out in market. Adding to its statement, the company claimed that it is improving the Wikipad bundle and a few other small modifications need to be done.

The developers said, "There is a last minute opportunity to enhance the Wikipad bundle as well as a minor refinement needed to ensure our first customers are completely satisfied with the Wikipad".

Further, it has declared that it will be providing bonus gifts to all those users, who have pre-ordered the tab.

However, the company has not detailed regarding the changes, which it aims to bring about as a result of which, it has delayed the launch. Moreover, it has made no mention regarding the next shipment date.
