Aspirin Causes Internal Bleeding, Say Researchers

It has been reported that the benefits of consuming aspirin are overrated by a large number of people. Although previous studies have showed that aspirin is good for heath, its advantages have been overestimated by the people.

It has been warned by the researchers that excessive consumption of aspirin can leads to a number of health complications. People consume aspirin with the hope of preventing heart diseases but it is necessary to understand that excess of anything can be hazardous for health.

In the past medical experts proclaimed that the consumption of aspirin is beneficial for the people above the age of 45. However, in a recent research, it has been found that aspirin could trigger internal bleeding.

For the research, the researchers observed the health of 100,000 people who were taking aspirin. It was found that the aspirin did lower the chances of a person of being affected with heart diseases by 10%. However, it was also found that the people relying over aspirin for preventing strokes had higher chance of receiving dangerous internal bleeding.

The research was conducted by the researchers of St George's, University of London University of London. It has further been pointed out that patients with heart diseases have higher chances of experiencing internal bleeding.

People are being advised to consult their GPs before opting for daily consumption of aspirin. There is no doubt that the consumption of aspirin does have positive outcomes, it does have adverse impact as well.

Aspirin is good for those who have suffered heart attack previously. But if you are consuming aspirin just to avoid heart diseases then it is high time for you to consult your GP. It is recommended that aspirin should not be consumed in large quantity as it could have serious implications on health.
