The President of the Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, has recently expressed disagreement with the wide spread notion regarding the end of the handheld games device. Moreover, he is determined to bring the company back on the forefront by increasing its profits in the coming years.
Although the President of the company is all geared up to bring back profits to the company, the shares of the company have been tumbling down continuously. It has been reported that in the past 6 months, value of the shares of the company has plunged to 8 years low.
Nintendo is the one which created the worldwide famous game Super Mario. It has further been revealed that the demand of it in the market has been diminishing quite rapidly. Soon after the advent of Apple’s gadgets including iPhone, the demand of the game devices in the market fell off sharply.
Iwata was reported of saying, “The profitability of 3DS hardware was the biggest issue for earnings this financial year, but it looks like we'll be able to resolve the problem we've been having with losses on the 3DS during the first half of the next financial year”.
Iwata has blamed the poor management and the strategies of the firm in dealing with competition in reducing the market sales of the game devices. He said that in the coming years, efforts would be made towards improving the strategies of the firm so that the goals could be achieved timely.
The aim of the company is to bring back the firm where it was before the advent of high-tech gadgets. It would be interesting to see as to how the company works towards improving its situation in the market. However, it would be hard to recover the loss of Nintendo 3DS.
