As per a report that appeared in the Geophysical Research Letters journal, it has been revealed that Mars would not have water since 5,000 years. A group of researchers from Imperial College London told that they assessed the research of the 2008 Nasa Phoenix mission to Mars.

From the research, it has been revealed that surface of Mars is so dry that if there would have been life on the planet then maximum people would have got job to find water by digging deep in the soil. NASA researchers also brought soil patches with them and their report withstood their claim about Mars.

Lead author Dr. Tom Pike said, "We found that even though there is an abundance of ice, Mars has been experiencing a super-drought that may well have lasted hundreds of millions of years”. He further affirmed that a lot of change has come with passage of time as earlier there was warn water available on Mars.

However, Pike said that to know more about the weather conditions on Mars, NASA need to go again on Mars. Meanwhile, there are some people who find space researches and space voyages to be way to waste money.

They are of the view that the money that is being spent on spice trips could be better utilized for the development of US. If there would no space missions then there would be less space debris and they would be able to generate more jobs for people.

Veteran TV news anchor Walter Cronkite told that money should be used to eradicate poverty in the world rather than spending it on space trips which is bringing no laurels for the country and is also not productive for the world.
