As per recent reports, it has been claimed that the S&P 500 was going brilliant on the third day in a row as the majority of Greek leaders were busy in securing a treaty on austerity approaches with the intent of safeguarding a hefty sum of more than $173bn on account of rescue funds.
Equities were spotted rallying around all over the world as media was found making hay over the entire high-voltage drama stretching all the way from Greek politics to stock exchange.
Tech shares were found on a high as well as the index struck the biggest gain of 1%. At the end of the trade, the S&P 500 was found 1% short of its highest standing of 1,363.61 which it recorded nine months back. The value was the highest ever attained on the market since June 2008.
While expressing his viewpoints regarding the impact of Greek politics and the promising run in progress on the stock market, a chief market strategist from the New York-based ConvergEx Group, Nicholas Colas, said: “We’ve had a very strong run without a meaningful pullback, and a lot of people would feel like chumps for buying before we see some kind of dip”.
Stocks increased timidly for the third day in a row on Thursday following the situation of Greece striking an agreement for thwarting even the slightest of possibilities of a financial bailout, though the majority of investors were full of apprehension following a week-long run of overwhelming gain.
Shares in technology sector, mainly shepherd by Apple, provided an important perk up to the NASDAQ index, and they were found on the strongest side during the entire trading period.
A large number of issues that Greece would perhaps fell short of following the assured austerity approaches kept a sense of hesitancy among investors who were not found very much keen on raising stocks one bit further.
