As per recent reports, it has been revealed that out of the 370 moon rocks, which have been collected in two NASA moon missions, 184 have been missing. A former NASA agent Gutheinz Jr. is determined to locate the missing stones and has even introduced a sting operation named as Operation Lunar Eclipse.

Out of 370 stones, 270 were given to countries across the globe and 50 were distributed to different states within the country. It has been found that 160 stones across the world and 24 in America have been missing.

Gutheinz with his team members have been locating stones and have even achieved success as they have been able to find 77 stones. He told that his team comprises of students who used to be in his criminal justice class at The University of Phoenix.

In addition, recent moonquake has unveiled some of the facts like moon has a lot of magma under its surface. However, it is quite unlikely for the magma to rise on the surface. There is a reason for it, said Mirjam van Kan Parker, who led a team of Dutch earth scientists to identify reasons for the lack of volcanic activity.

Parker and team revealed that the molten lava inside the surface is too heavy to come on the surface. They confirmed the fact after studying the photos of Apollo missions taken of moon. "Today, the Moon is still cooling down, as are the melts in its interior. In the distant future, the cooler and therefore solidifying melt will change in composition, likely making it less dense than its surroundings”, said Parker.

There are chances that light magma comes up on Moon, but it will take some years and till then the study researchers need to a lot of research.
