Great Daffodil Appeal event is an annual affair. This time also the event will be celebrated with the same zeal as it has been celebrated in a few past years. However, this time there is a little change and that is daffodils have arrived perfectly on their seasonal time.

Marie Curie Fundraising team said that they have received hundreds and thousands of daffodils on time. This has filled them with vigor to do better than last time. They have appealed all their members to double their efforts to raise a big amount, which will be then given to a research team of Marie Curie and Centre.

Some of the amount will be used for the treatment of people, who have been suffering from terminal cancer and other illnesses in Scotland. The team has been looking for volunteers and has asked them to come forth and help them in this noble cause.

Volunteers are needed for delivering daffodils at distant places as well as at local places. The charity provides items made of daffodils to people, who donate in the charity.

Cheryl Barrett, who is Area Fundraising Manager, said, “We’ll supply everything you need including collection tins and daffodils, so it couldn’t be easier and it’s such a rewarding way to volunteer, whether you’ve got a couple of hours or a couple of days to spare please get in touch”.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is said to be the leading care agency to provide help to people, who have been suffering from terminal illnesses. As per official data, Marie curie Centre is going to take care of more than 5,000 people and will also be supporting their families.

There are more than 250 Marie Curie Nurses, who have been actively working to help people across the nation.
