NASA Spacecraft Captures Solar Twisters

In a recent report, it has been told that a NASA spacecraft has managed to capture a video which could glimpse the solar twisters blowing across the surface of the sun. The scientists managed to see huge eruptions of super-hot plasma with the help of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, which is constantly recording high-definition videos of the sun. it was told that the eruptions of hot plasma developed solar twists with the speed of 482,803 km/h
(300,000 mph).

The video clearly showed swirling fountains of plasma creeping across the surface of the sun between Feb. 7 and 8. Though it is being believed that there is no comparison to tornadoes on Earth, it was found that the sun's plasma tornadoes were far from what one can see on Earth. They are basically driven by the powerful magnetic field.

"The particles are being pulled this way and that by competing magnetic forces. They are tracking along strands of magnetic field lines”, said SDO mission scientists. The video showed that the cool down plasma looked like pitch black spots on a bright background. The video was recorded in the extreme ultraviolet range of the light spectrum.

The video was released on the second anniversary of the spacecraft's mission, which is reported to have been kicked on Feb. 11, 2010. It is being believed that the spacecraft is on a mission for five years so that it can capture videos of the sun which might help in knowing how the sun's solar weather cycle can affect life on Earth.

There have been many times that people have been warned about the 11-year cycle of our sun, as it is told that during this phase, sun can cause havoc on Earth. As of now, nothing like this has been experienced but there are fair chances that it might cause difficulties later.
