It has been recently revealed in a report that Walt Disney is currently working towards the redevelopment of their new fitness heroes, who shall fight it out with the obese villains who eat a lot of junk food.

The critics are of the view that this sort of obese villains, who eat junk, might portray a wrong message to obese children. It is true that obesity is mostly due to the wrong lifestyle habits of people, but there are still a number of cases in which it is genetic and one cannot help being fat.

It is good to be giving children a message about eating healthy, but stereotyping the obese children towards junk eaters is not a very good thing to do.

This will actually tend to drop their morale and they would start to despise themselves for their physical appearance.

“We’re appalled to learn that Disney, a traditional hallmark of childhood happiness and joy, has fallen under the shadow of negativity and discrimination, “I was really disturbed to see the most negative habits were attached to really fat bodies”, said Peggy Howell, a Spokeswoman from National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance.

It was further added that these pictures will only tend to hurt the fat people and will tend to make them feel worse about their weight

There is need for the right sort of ideologies to be portrayed in front of people, so that they don’t tend to look down upon anyone. On the other hand, it was revealed by the spokesperson for Blue Cross, John W. Herbkersman that this exhibit was initiated because it was supposed to be useful to others. But things seemed to have gone wrong.
