Porsche Recalls Some 2012-2013 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 Models
According to recent reports, Porsche has issued recall for some particular models of 2012-2013 911 Carrera and Carrera 4.
The reason behind the same is found to be a problem with rear muffler. It is learnt that in these models, the tail pipe may separate from the rear muffler unexpectedly. The recall is applicable to models that were manufactured from March 7, 2012 to November 12, 2012. These were known to be backed by a standard exhaust system. The vehicles that possessed a port exhaust system were not included in the recall.
As per the data, the recall will affect as many as 2,263 vehicles. The recall schedule is yet to be finalized and Porsche will notify all its customers of the recall very shortly. As soon as the recall would be made, the customers can get their rear mufflers replaced from the authorized dealers.
Till the corrections are not made, Carrera owners can contact Porsche for any kind of query at 1-800-767-7243.
