Hashtags to Be Embraced By Facebook, Say Sources
As per the Wall Street Journal and AllThingsD, the well known social networking site Facebook is following a very dominant feature of the other site for networking, Twitter. The feature that is in the contradictions is referred as the "hashtag".
The hashtag or "#" is used on Twitter differently. Initially, it was introduced as a procedure to label one's tweets so that the people interested in discussing about the similar topics can join each other. The developer introduced the hashtags to categorize the contents on the website.
The tags are still used by the users in the similar way to look for the major topics such as the Oscars etc. However, hashtag is also utilized by the users of Twitter as punchlines, for emphasis, to denote irony, and for countless other reasons.
Hashtag has grown up into a versatile tool all over the internet. The other social media's using the hashtag includes Instagram and Vine. However, Facebook has its own ways. It has introduced the use of "@" tag instead.
Facebook has now decided to introduce the famous hashtag to it to aid those people who are pushing their content from Twitter and Instagram to Facebook, generally ending up in no relevant function.
However, the time that is going to be taken by Facebook to get through the hashtag job is still unpredictable.
