Wayward Sea lion Pup Rescued
As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a wayward sea lion pup was found on the Mission Bay Drive slip road. Authorities concerned were of the view that for an hour, the pup was on the road that leads to Interstate 5.
As soon as they got to know about the same, animal control officers were informed about the incident. Animal control officers reached at the place and were somehow able to rescue the pup and took it to SeaWorld San Diego.
San Diego Police said that the pup has been taken to SeaWorld San Diego so that its examination can be done. It has been revealed that this is not the first time when sea lion pups have been rescued.
SeaWorld officials said that on an average, they have been receiving 12 to 15 rescue calls on daily basis. The number might be shocking for a number of people, but not for authorities concerned.
They were of the view that a decline has come in the number of rescue calls by 3 to 5 a week. Officers continued by affirming that are used to witness a peak in rescue calls in December.
SeaWorld officials said, "We try to make sure the animals are ready to succeed when we return them to the wild".
