What Will Eric Pulier Do Next?

A multi-faceted and brilliant entrepreneur, published author and philanthropist, Eric Pulier has worked hard to make a positive impact on the world. After graduating from Teaneck High School in 1984, Eric Pulier went on to continue his studies at Harvard University, from where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in English and American literature in 1988 magna cum laude. His life since that time has been marked by a focus on helping people who are economically disadvantaged as well as children who suffer from chronic illnesses and conditions. His work has focused on technological innovation, and he is at the forefront of his industry.
While Pulier was studying at Harvard, he wrote a regular column for the Harvard Crimson as a student journalist, exploring numerous topics with a keen insight and sense of humor. After graduating, Pulier moved to Los Angeles in 1991 and founded People Doing Things, which was a company that focused on offering technological innovations to the healthcare and education sectors. Pulier then founded Digital Digital Evolution in 1994, which was an interactive agency and which merged with US Interactive LLC in 1998. Pulier was chosen by the Presidential Inaugural Committee in 1997 to complete the presidential technology exhibit, which was called 'The Bridge to the 21st Century' and which was displayed in Washington, D.C.
Pulier has made his mark in the world of technology. To date, he has funded, co-founded, or founded 15 different companies. He has founded and co-founded multiple venture-backed companies, including SOA Software, MediaPlatformm, Desktone and US Media Interactive LLC. He has been able to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for his many companies and is well known as one of the preeminent technologists in the industry. Pulier was named by VAR Business as one of 30 e-visionaries. He is a frequently invited speaker and regularly appears at technology forums and conferences. Pulier is the executive director of the Enterprise Leadership Council and served on the Clinton Global Initiative.
Throughout his career, Pulier has demonstrated a dedication to philanthropy and to helping the less fortunate. His early philanthropic work for the Multiple Sclerosis Society involved his creating a multimedia education platform to educate people with multiple sclerosis about the condition. In 1995, he worked with Stephen Spielberg, Norman Schwarzkopf Jr. and Peter Samuelson to help develop the first private social media network. Called Starbright World, the platform allowed children with chronic illnesses to connect with each other via chats and blog posts in a safe forum.
Pulier serves on the board of directors of the XPrize Foundation, which holds competitions through which people can compete to come up with innovative solutions to some of humanity's most intractable problems. Pulier also serves on the board of directors of the Painted Turtle, which is a charitable organization that holds an annual summer camp for children who have serious and chronic illnesses in Lake Hughes, California. Pulier also created a game called Starlight World, which allows children who have diabetes to tour the insides of bodies so that they can see and understand what happens with blood sugars and insulin levels in people who have the condition.
A published author, Pulier co-authored "Understanding Enterprise SOA," which was published in 2005. His article, "The Enterprise Industrial Complex," appeared in the March 2012 issue of Forbes Magazine. In May 2015, Pulier founder FLF and serves as its managing partner. He is also the chairman, co-founder and chief executive officer of ServiceMesh Inc. Pulier has been awarded numerous patents for his various inventions in the area of cloud computing technology. He resides in Los Angeles, California, where he is dedicated to raising his four children in addition to his career, philanthropic efforts and entrepreneurial innovations.
